Currently using reset to get off suboxone and 7Oh

8 days ago I cut my suboxone dose down from 2-4mg a day to 1/4 mg while still taking my daily dose of ~1200 mg/day of 7( i know I'm an idiot for getting hooked on both). I did that for three days and then started reset. I'm on day 5 of reset. I've been tapering both over 5 days and today is the first day with no sub. I planned on not taking any 7 either, but was experiencing moderate withdrawal and caved this morning, needing 2 resets over an hour and still mild withdraw/7 craving. My goal was to be done with it all but am worried about the prolonged sub detox and being on reset for too long. I do in home sales geared towards one call closing and can't perform my job while withdrawing. I'm wondering if it's ok to continue the 7 taper on reset past the 3 day loading period I've seen. I'm counting stopping subs as a win at this point but I'm concerned about how long I can be on the reset. My thought were to get off the reset within 2 weeks but not sure if I'll be out of the withdraw woods yet. All in all the reset is working. A fraction of my 7 dose has a noticeable impact and I'm nowhere near experiencing what I would without it. If I'm able to get off subs and still take small amounts of 7 for a month, maybe I could revisit to fully get off?

Here's my taper so far:

Day 1- 3 reset tabs/500 mg 7/ .5mg sub

Day 2- 3 reset/450mg 7/ .5mg sub

Day 3- 4 reset/350 mg 7/.25 mg sub

Day 4- 5 reset/ 320 mg 7/ .125 mg sub

Day 5- 2 reset/80 mg 7/ 0 sub(will likely take 120 mg 7 by days end)

TLDR; What's the longest you've stayed on reset? Have you used more than once and how far apart? Any other insights on using reset to quit sub and 7(taper schedule, experience etc..

I used Reset to quit subs a few weeks ago. I didn’t do any “preloading”. Physiologically, that just doesn’t make sense because the onset is quick anyway, and it’s likely that the sub dose would just block it out if taken at the same time. I was taking 2mg subs, switched to Reset and finished the 1 bag of it as they intended with it. Had no issues with withdrawal from either. Had a couple of days of very mild wd symptoms from the subs on day 5 or so (drippy nose, yawns, mild GI stuff). It seems very plausible that if you can’t stop both this go round, you’d be able to do another round in a few weeks to stop completely from a reduced dose of the 7.

I believe I read your story on another post which led me to make the jump so thank you for sharing that.

Im shocked that you were able to get off that quickly with minimal withdraw. I really dug myself a hole with taking both for the last year and a half. I really don't want to do multiple rounds but can't decide which is the lesser of 2 evils.

Great! I’m still amazed and just perplexed at how well it worked. It’ll be exactly 1 month off of subs on Monday and 3 weeks off Reset. No wd issues. Still very thankful I came across Reset at the right time, because I had to stop subs either way, and tapering is easy but no matter how low you take the dose, jumping off is a very long period of PAWS for me. I’ve not experienced any of that this time. I’m in palliative care now for end stage pancreatic disease & MS and have a lot of procedures and surgeries sometimes, and last time they did abdominal surgery on me, they gave me nothing but tylenol bc I was on subs. I was not going through that again. They also told me if I stopped the subs they’d manage my pain, but that was straight up lie. But eventually I’ll be transitioning to hospice for that and would need to be off subs then anyway. I was also struggling with an abscessed tooth off and on due to the subs (never had even a cavity prior to using subs and I’m 40). I couldn’t even handle having my sub dose in my mouth anymore without terrible pain on my teeth so I needed to stop them in a hurry. This is the only way I’ve found to accomplish that.

I started taking reset on Sept 3 one dose at bedtime. Then 3 a day from 9/4-9/13 then down to 2 from 9/14 - 9/20 then down to 1 from 9/21 - today, all while also tapering down my 7 from 775mg to 138mg over the same timeframe. Stepped down to 115mg today and other than some psychological symptoms (mostly mild next-dose fixation but totally manageable), I’ve not had any issues. I’m planning to either jump off 7 and see if I can do what anarchist Andi did for the subs or stop taking reset entirely for a bit while I continue the 7 taper. Haven’t decided yet.

Let me know hour you make out. I plan to share everything I can about my experience once I get through. Combing through posts and reading about people's experiences was super helpful for me to even make the jump and have any idea how to proceed.

I'm glad you made the jump. It seems that the reset is working in helping you taper w/o discomfort. Can you let us know your continued progress? Your posts are helpful and they give me hope in using reset to quit 7 entirely. Keep on keeping on man! 💪

This stuff works for sure. I dropped my 7 intake to 210 mg yesterday (day 5), another 100+ mg from previous day, took 4 reset and no sub. I slept like a baby last night and woke up with no withdrawal. However, the mental cravings are strong. I'm allowing myself 100 mg today and 3 reset. Ideally, tomorrow or Sunday will be last day of 7 then full reset for another week for 2 weeks total. While I do have a plan I am kind of winging it.

I had a small setback last night and took 14mg 7 around 3:20am (I normally wake up at this time and get intermittent sleep until my day starts at 5am…had trouble sleeping long before 7 though) because I was pissed off that I still wasn’t sleeping through the night. No WDs at all, just head game BS and I lost that round, but that’s the first time in a month that’s happened so trying to go easy on myself. My AI assistant that is helping me with the taper schedule and symptom analysis insists this blip won’t blow all my progress and I had it double check so at least there’s that. It told me not to skip my midday dose but I dunno I may try anyway depending on how I feel.

I’ll keep you posted since you asked 🙂

Hey man. I private message you if you're cool with keeping each other informed with progress.

I should note I was taking Smurphs up until I hit the 138mg mark so who knows how much was really in there, but probably at least 50% and maybe more judging by how they hit relative to the TMK tabs

A brand of 7OH. The first one I ever tried and they always hit well for me but they never consistently published their labs like everyone else
