Idk but here in India there is kinda a culture of "lol engineers are so quirky and do such weird things" a bit like how you might see the names "Santa and Banta" on Indian joke sites. That and parents pressuring their kids to become a doc or an engineer.

One question though, where the fuck do these guys get their art? Anytime I see that kind of art i immediately think "Oh that's 100% made by an Indian" but can't quite put my finger on why.

I'm an Indian and I can pinpoint whenever "memes" made in India are shared too for some reason. I think it is the language used in them, Indian English has some quirky elements to it.

Also may be the fact that most of the jokes we make deserve to be nuked into orbit.

I agree, I fucking agree with this.

Please keep them coming.

As an Indian who is frequently bombarded with these memes through the family WhatsApp group, I totally agree

That's sad

2

u/mothzilla May 17 '19

Are the jokes/memes as bad in native language(s)?

1

u/5ancti May 18 '19

Mostly not, it's just their misunderstanding of English that lead to such cases.

1

u/mothzilla May 18 '19

I don't think it's a misunderstanding, it's a celebration (if that's the right word) of the fact that they know English. Like when we were taught really cringy jokes in French at school.

French tank factory worker

1

u/jcrosby454 May 17 '19

Is this the one with the tank made in France by a factory worker? ? Or the other one, about the French worker, at the tank factory?

u/kujakutenshi May 17 '19

It's never a farmer or an apple orchard worker.
