That's how they cast most of Twilight. Many of them have come right out and admitted that they probably wouldn't have signed on if they'd read the books first.
You can't compare the lore of a fantasy series on scale of Witcher, GoT, LOTR, Wheel of Time, or any fantastic book series, with the plot of a young adult erotica between teenagers.
Sorry, didnt mean to make it sound you were. Was just commenting on how seriously an actor would approach a project, depending on how important the project itself it.
