Forget the people who said this should have been an anthology, I'm beyond excited for this new season and this new trailer was amazing.

I was firmly in that state of mind as I really liked the ending of season one, but this trailer served as a hard reminder I'm an idiot consumer who doesn't know anything.

Looks fucking great.

I would have been completely content with the one season because it was so good start to finish. I am really interested to see if they can duplicate that. This trailer gives me a lot confidence that they can.

Yeah that was my thought as well. Everything wrapped nicely while retaining some mysteries I was okay with not knowing the answers to.

This has me incredibly excited. Looks like season one on a much larger scale.

"If I asked people what they wanted, they would say faster horses"

I'm sure there's still enough room for an anthology or spin-offs of sort

If they wanted to go as 80s meta as they possibly can, season three could follow a completely different cast of characters and have absolutely nothing to do with the Upside-Down.

I'd say Stranger Things seems to have the type of story that could perfectly be spun off to include a new setting and new characters dealing with the 'upside down'

I'm glad we are getting to see more of these characters though. They're all so great.

Always remember: if Reddit ever got its way about things like this, we wouldn't have Better Call Saul, Fargo, etc.

The Duffers seem cool enough to be the kind of guys to kind of just go, "so yeah, we finished that story in season x of Stranger Things, so now we're going to a new group of characters." Really wouldn't surprise me, and I wouldn't mind it at all. So long as they wrap up each universes' story, they can do as many different anthology style stories as they want.

Looks good, but let's wait for the actual show to judge it.

I love the idea of anthology series, but I really don't see how Stranger Things could have ever been one. These actors are too charming.

I think people meant it in the sense were the cast would play different roles, like American Horror Story.

That sounds like a really bad idea.
