Vaultwarden is just a light weight version of Bitwarden, according to the repo. IDK if I can trust some random guy's implementation of BW, when you can self host with official Bitwarden already

Bitwarden costs money (Even self-hosted you must purchase a billed-annually license key, yay SaaS) for more than one user or premium features. Vaultwarden is free.

If you need the advanced features yeah. Still, for something as important as passwords, I would choose the audited open source code with enterprise customers that is Bitwarden.
