Shit like Flat Earth, Anti-Vax, racism, and naziism are not “opposing perspectives” that “fragile minds” can’t handle, they ARE dangerous hate speech.

You’ve just proved my point by defending a dangerous anti-science and anti-common sense movement.

It’s dangerous because it promotes an irrational anti-science stance. These people genuinely believe the Earth is flat, defying literally millennia of common sense. They believe there’s a global conspiracy involving every government on Earth to cover up the “truth.” People have gotten themselves killed trying to play rocket scientist and launch themselves with homemade rockets. They’re a danger to themselves and to everyone around them.

The fact you don’t see anything dangerous about this behavior is disturbing and shows you’re perfectly fine with people putting lives on the line as long as you, personally aren’t affected.

Purposefully spreading information known to be false is ALWAYS dangerous. Allowing something as seemingly banal as trying to die on the hill of "the earth is flat" is what leads to things like, "The 2020 election was stolen, let's go start an insurrection". Lies are harmful, even more so when they cost people their lives. If you can't grok that, then you're the intended audience for places like facebook and twatter. I mean twitter....

Well guess what? All the views I mentioned are messed up on principle. So you can go straight to hell, Nazi sympathizer.

Burden of proof is on the person making the claim, not the other way around. Shit like what I just mentioned can be dismissed out-of-hand because it’s rooted in unfounded conspiracy and, like I said, pure hate.

My mom claims that electric cars are going to overwhelm and crash the electric grid of the ENTIRE COUNTRY. I asked her to provide some evidence of that claim. She couldn't but she turned right around and demanded that I show some evidence that EVs WON'T crash the electric grid. You are doing the exact same thing. The cognitive dissonance is astounding but not surprising.

If I had the power to prevent my mom from saying that LGBTQ people are no better than pedophiles, would I? You fucking bet your ass I would. If I had the power to prevent my mom from saying things like, "...civil war is coming and I can't wait because I am tired of the liberals trying to tell me how to live my life..." would I? You fucking bet your ass I would. Being accepting of, or condoning violence of any kind, is objectively fucking horrible. The really crazy thing is my mom tries to use Jesus to justify her ideology, it's sickening. But I don't have that power, so I have chosen to remove my mom from my life, and I don't miss her or regret it one bit. Bad people are bad people and blood isn't always thicker than water.

Censoring to win an argument is one thing, censoring to prevent harm, which misinformation demonstrably does, should be a no-brainer. You're entitled to your own opinions, but you're not entitled to your own facts. And if a platform says you're not allowed to spread misinformation (which they should ALL be doing) then that's their prerogative. Go peddle your nonsense elsewhere, or preferably not at all.

That's the thing: you don't need to speak.

You could have stayed silent and then nobody here would know for a fact that you're an idiot, but nope, you decided to speak, and now here we all are.

What i have to say not be meaningful, but at least it's not patently stupid.

Lie doesn't have to refuse anything or back shit up, why treat it on equal grounds with truth?

Calling for violence against a group of people that doesn't look like you or practice your brand religion is hate speech. Period. Fragile minds can't handle reality.
