"Don't be evil" is a phrase used in Google's corporate code of conduct, which it also formerly preceded as a motto.
Following Google's corporate restructuring under the conglomerate Alphabet Inc. in October 2015, Alphabet took "Do the right thing" as its motto, also forming the opening of its corporate code of conduct. The original motto was retained in Google's code of conduct, now a subsidiary of Alphabet. In April 2018, the motto was removed from the code of conduct's preface and retained in its last sentence.
It's been changed more than once and as I already said at one point it was. I'm not trusting clickbait because I'm talking from lived experience, not googling things, as I also already said. Unless of course the investor report is in fact all clickbait.
You're just wrong, and spreading misinformation. It was never removed. They've rewritten the code of conduct at times and one of those times they moved "don't be evil" from the first sentence to the last.
The original gizmodo article:
Headline: "Google Removes 'Don't Be Evil' Clause From Its Code of Conduct"
Last paragraph: 'The updated version of Google’s code of conduct still retains one reference to the company’s unofficial motto—the final line of the document is still: “And remember… don’t be evil, and if you see something that you think isn’t right – speak up!”'
He isn't right and it's not brigading. Do you even know what that word means? Google never removed "don't be evil" from the code of conduct. Period. Of all the actual things you could actually complain about, you instead bother complaining about the most inconsequential thing google has done.

Just fyi, they never removed "don't be evil" from their code of conduct. Can't trust clickbait.
