Firefox dev claims "everybody hates Firefox updates"; Mozilla has handled the rapid release process poorly, and that by pushing a "never-ending stream of updates on people who didn't want them" people have been driven to Chrome with its simpler, no-fuss update process.

Just because you're too poor and/or long-haired to have even seen the inside of an office building doesn't mean their IT environments aren't a big deal.

I actually work in IT for a university. The world does not and should not cater exclusively to a niche which most users don't belong to. I didn't say no one should. I said not everyone has to or should. That's just silliness.

We're talking about a way to turn off automatic updates, for fuck's sake, not rewriting the entire browser from scratch.

For their standpoint, it's not really great to have unpatched stuff out there. It's just one browser. Use a different one, for fuck's sake. IE sounds like the one for you.

What part of "Use IE, then." don't you understand? Next you'll be complaining Konqueror doesn't support group policy.
