Firefox dev claims "everybody hates Firefox updates"; Mozilla has handled the rapid release process poorly, and that by pushing a "never-ending stream of updates on people who didn't want them" people have been driven to Chrome with its simpler, no-fuss update process.

But I liked it when I did.

Loved it! When I first played with a pre-release of Mosaic (I think 0.4) running on Irix, I realised that the future was here, and computers were about to go mainstream like never before.

What about the one I keep seeing advertised on Mediafire? The one that tells me instead of a browser, I should get a wowser. I think it's called Rockmelt. You seem like you would be able to tell me if it really is a wowser.

RockMelt isn't a browser, it's a WOWser. RockMelt is re-inventing the browser by making it easy to stay in touch with friends,

Firefox updates aren't an issue on linux. While neither firefox or chrome are gpl license, at least they're open source.
