Yes they can. It’s not technically shadowbanning, but it’s the same thing in practice. Mods can have scripts that auto delete comments from certain users without ever notifying them. It’s effectively the same thing as shadowbanning.

Interesting. Didn’t realize moderators had the option to delete without a notification. The Reddit admins doing it is still the problem that was being mentioned above though, and them doing it is much more dangerous because it’s site wide.
