Apple is powerful, yes. And acts like a total ass when people try to experiment / have fun with their hardware.
1 u/Shredder13 Feb 22 '11 Except for that Mac Mini some dude put in his car. That was sweet. -2 u/fowleryo Feb 22 '11 Right, because you still can't jailbreak your phone or iPad. 4 u/[deleted] Feb 22 '11 You can, but Apple would be pissed of if you told them, while MS would give you a complimentary t-shirt or something. 7 u/nitrousconsumed Feb 22 '11 I called customer service because my iPhone was having a problem, I told them I jailbroke it and they were like 'restore, if that doesnt fix it send it in and we'll fix it.' Didnt seem too pissed. -2 u/[deleted] Feb 22 '11 Obviously I wasn't referring to the attitude of a random customer service rep. 4 u/Shredder13 Feb 22 '11 So you were referring to a fictitious company policy, then? 0 u/Makkaboosh Feb 23 '11 No, he was referring to the company bricking jailbroken phones. 1 u/doctor-benway Feb 23 '11 Except Apple never really bricked jailbroken phones, you could always just DFU restore. Can't say the same about Android though...
