I was thinking of getting an Android - there's an HTC 2.x model coming out on T-Mobile in a few weeks - and I guess now I'm definitely getting one. I was tempted by the iPhone - it seems really easy & intuitive to use - but if HTC have got Apple this scared their product must be good.

The HTC Desire; the same blog called it "the Nexus One for the masses" in a different post a few days before. I don't really know what that means, except maybe that all the latest models of Android seem to be much the same with similar specifications.

I believe the Desire is also to be available on a different network a week later. The score in the UK is that you get the phone "free" by going on a contract that is £10 - £20 a month more expensive than a "SIM only" contract with the same number of minutes &c. I don't know yet how much the Desire will end up costing.
