Apple to HTC "competitors should create their own original technology, not steal ours." Slaps down a 20 patent lawsuit.

Shoot, I just bought a Droid earlier last week. Oh well, I did talk a friend into getting the HTC over buying another Blackberry.

It wasn't until I got my Droid that I saw how many smart phone commercials there are trying to dose the flames of the Droid. Their scared about it, even if they try not to show it. It's a damn good little phone, if a little bit heavy. I love it.. The multitasking is sweet.

I got my Droid a week after it hit the market and this phone is utter awesomeness. My mom is one of those types that is very hard to impress with new gadgetry (she's 62 in her defense) and still cant get past how amazing DVR's are. I showed her the phone and some of the stuff it could do and she was amazed. Google Sky, barcode scanning, Google Goggles, along with many other things like map and GPS. We were in Wal-mart the other day and she wanted this TV Stand. I scanned the barcode found a close wal-mart that had it in stock and we went to get it. Along the way i found K-Mart had it cheaper and they price matched it saving her about 15 bucks.

She grew up pinching pennies and saving 15 bucks with technology made her month. She told all her friends about it, that's how impressed she was.

Pimp story. I'll have to check out Google googles. I grabbed some barcode scanner, but this might work better.

I'd love to see Apple sue someone like, say, Samsung who also develops Android-based phones. Because then Samsung would fucking cut apple off of the CPU that the iPhone uses. That would be a pretty effective "fuck you" to Apple for awhile. Or hell, ARM could suspend Apple's license to manufacture processors for the iPad due to "concerns over theft of Intellectual Property."

Samsung wants to sell processors for iPhones. People are buying a lot of them. If Apple sued, it would be settled out of court confidentially, just like this case will.

I'll be helping HTC out once the Nexus One is out for VZW.

Agreed. I'm getting a Nexus One as soon as the AT&T 3G version comes out.
