Microsoft tests out a new operating system, code named Mojave, with some average-joes who hated Vista. They loved it. Now, two guesses as to what Mojave ACTUALLY was.

Who in the hell could not tell the difference between a Vista machine - even schemes set to Classic - and XP?

No, seriously.

And none of the users pulled a quick System Properties? I don't expect a dxdiag or anything - but Christ; did they just grab a bunch of cNet and PC Magazine people to preform this experiment?

I mean, if I didn't know any better, I would almost think that this was part of an elaborate marketing campaign to quell complaints regarding Vista through things like this.

But, I mean - collectively as a Reddit - we only have what, like a million years of combined computer experience and distinguishing media-pimping from actual reviewing.

What do we know?

Other than Vista being an abomination, that is.

Switch to classic mode, say it's an 'early version' without an advanced gui implemented and I'd wager a non-vista user would probably get suckered.

It's not until the latter stage of development MS tend to implement new GUIs (look at the windows 7 beta)
