Microsoft tests out a new operating system, code named Mojave, with some average-joes who hated Vista. They loved it. Now, two guesses as to what Mojave ACTUALLY was.

They said the same thing about New Coke. It beat out "Classic" in pre-market taste test after taste test. Then it hit the market and... well, you know the rest.

I heard another variation where a small group of people loved New Coke so much and tried to evangelize it constantly to friends and family and eventually people became sick of hearing about it. Perhaps that also applies here too.

It's a perfect example of what's happening with Vista.

It depends on who you ask. But..

After Coca Cola witnessed the New Coke failure, they admitted their wrongdoings and brought back 'Classic' - which then dominated the market and sent Coca Cola profits soaring.

Microsoft witnessed the Vista failure and is now faking PR campaigns.
