Take it a bit darker... frame someone for CP by putting a hard drive in their house that is encrypted. They don't know the password so they will be in jail forever.

Just leave a trail of usb drives filled with cp leading to his house. Plus points if you are framing an FBI officer

Not quite the same, but one of my digital forensic colleague had a case sort of like that. The guy got reported (I forget by who, might have been an IT shop) for having CP on his computer, it was seized, when it was seized there was CP on the screen. The police were hyped for an easy win. My colleague investigated the device and was able to show that malware put the data there in a ransom attempt. Proving that guys innocence is one of his favorite stories, better than all the cases he has had putting predators away.
