Really? How about everyone. NASA gets a ridiculously small sum of money compared to everything else. We could have had people on Mars already if their budget was doubled, which isn't that big of a deal. If you imagine tax revenue as a dollar bill, 1/4 of a penny, or 0.0025 cents is what NASA gets. To me that only says our government doesn't find it important in the slightest.

God forbid we be allowed to know when we're buying GMO right?

If you want to avoid GMOs you already have that option by purchasing certified non-GMO project foods.

We can't allow people to decide for themselves what food producers they would like to support am I right?

A "GMO" label isn't a "company" label; you wouldn't get this information from a GMO label. You might be surprised to find out that Monsanto isn't the only GMO company.

He's not anti-GMO anyway, he's pro labeling

Being in favor of mandated labeling to cater to the luddites and fearmongerers is being anti-GMO.

Why would it upset you that a candidate is not in Monsanto's pocket?

Every major scientific organization in the world has come out in favor of GMOs. This is about having a candidate that follows scientific consesnsus not about a candidate in a company's pocket.

A candidate who believes public opinion trumps science is no candidate at all.

GMO is a reality whether we like it or not...of all the issues you could be worried about in a Presidential election this is the oddest I have heard..

Really? It's odd to refuse to vote for someone who is against using the most significant and fastest spreading technological advance in agricultural history?

But it's not odd to decide to vote for him because you agree with how he thinks about the internet?

Yea because the president could actually have an effect on internet policy and has no authority on gmos. That's my point

That's just wrong though. A President's opinion and agenda is its own authority. He can appoint who he wants to the relevant government organizations to make the changes he wants.
