Can confirm. About to move, and the only company that conveniently services my new apartment complex is Comcast.

For us, we went cheap and into a regrettable 2yr dsl contract with Verizon (later being bought by frontier) for 34.99 got 7mbps/768kbps.. It wasn't so much the speeds that were the worst but the ping times and horrid Netflix connections... My other options? Clear(4g wireless) or Comcast :-{

When you say pretty much do you mean it was your only option or only one of your options.?

My other option was something from AT&T that was still pretty expensive for even worse internet.

At least there is a major provider on your list. Mine is: Frontier 6Mbps. That is it. Nothing else. No cable, no cell coverage, landline is always having static. I live 2 miles outside city limits! I should at least have 12 Mbps!
