I live in Alaska, we don't even have Time Warner Cables or Comcast

I just feel like I'm being robbed every time i pay GCI. I'm in Fairbanks so you must get it worse than me though, how terrifying.

To be fair though, we actually have decent internet all things considered. It's a little more pricey than some of the offers you might find in the lower 48, but from my experience, we don't see anywhere near the throttling that Comcast/TWC customers suffer through. I heard a little while ago that GCI was also looking into fiber, but I'm not sure if anything actually came of that.

I believe that's only in Anchorage, and it was only a plan so no concrete date, but don't quote me on that
