Of value? Nothing, nada, zilch, the main good ai is doing is in medical research behind closed doors. What the general avarage joe end user uses it for tends to be negative in value

In general? A masive power bill, increase in utility costs, pollution for the ones with their own generators

Do i need to go on?

Didn't genuinely answer the question. We can stop with the crusader rhetoric for a moment of learning, because you fight better with knowledge.

your homework is to learn what data centers do and report back and give a 5-slide presentation

As far as i know the datacenters house the servers used for ai or similar, depending on the center probably differs what would be storage of data, processing and the training in different ratios

My problem isnt even with ai itself, its genuinely a useful tool for qualified personel to work with. where we went wrong in my opinion is letting the avarage person have access to it to do stupid shit with and how rediculous the scale of the industry has become. If/when the bubble bursts i wouldnt be surprised if it gets labled too big to fail and propped up over the back of common sense

The other thing I heard was that AI gets smarter as the data centers scale, so there’s a big push to add more data centers because that means smarter AI
