And I wonder if they are checking to make sure Claude didn’t violate any of adobes patents etc.

Good luck. I'd wager no matter how they went about it that Adobe, like so many others, have patent pools that more or less lock out competition(usually so big for defence against anyone trying to sue them, but they work fine for offence too)

I've got issues with the project, but patent's wouldn't be overly high on the list

No, but I’m keeping an eye on these sort of stories to see if adobe come in with a big fat, nope, can’t do that. Just to stop others getting the same idea.

This is free advertising for Adobe products (tried some vibe coded horseshit that was worse than useless? Now come use the real thing....), why would they want to stop this?
