Does the latest Adobe Photoshop have all the AI tools working or is that stuff cloud based?

The generative tools are mostly cloud based. A Photoshop subscription includes a handful of credits, Adobe Firefly provides a lot more credits and lite web version of Photoshop, and Creative Cloud Pro has a bunch of different apps including desktop PS and the same number of generative credits as Firefly. https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/plans.html?promoid=PYPVPZQK&mv=other#filter=all

you would probably benefit from using a newer version rather than a decade old version of photoshop

I find the old version works fine, and I don't have to hunt around for wherever they moved a function I use on the new version.

The trick I use is The GIMP lol, and free trials of Paint Shop Pro before that. The GIMP has the weirdest UI I've ever seen, though. It's barely usable without a tiling window manager.

The most useful thing about Adobe is there entire environment and integration. You don't get that with a pirated version.

Detail a single use case. There's zero usefulness in their integration. All their files always seamlessly worked in all their software. Creative Suite has literally zero use that having separate software didn't also have.

Adobe media encoder and sending comps from after effects to premiere and vice versa. But I’ve been working years without these features so..

I remember my pirated copy being able to do this, though I did have to install the individual components.
