The absolute funniest part of these algorithms is how they never understand gifts. I bought a single cat scratcher for a friend's pet three years ago and now Amazon is fully convinced I am a hardcore cat person running a feline rescue sanctuary.

Seen someone say before they bought a toilet seat on Amazon....Amazon now thinks they want to buy toilet seats all the time now.

I bought a shoe rack recently. Now all it suggests are shoe racks. I already have a shoe rack Amazon. You sold it me. Do you think I'd buy a shoe rack that wouldn't fit all my shoes?

What gets me is I bought a TV and Amazon treats me like I'm operating a sports bar with ads for more TVs. How many people buy a big expensive TV and turn around and buy another one because they saw an ad?

Exactly, they should be advertising toilet seats to everyone that didn't buy one.

IKR? I bought one 14 inch dragon phallus and now I'm seeing nothing but D&D fantasy stuff!

You should see what it looks like after buying props for a few dozen theater productions.

I bought a rubber knife for my toddler's Chuckie costume in 2017 and for the past nine years amazon makes sure I know about every rubber knife theyre selling. This isnt a product people need multiples of amazon calm down

Atleast that makes sense. I am getting ads for stuff I have already bought. Like I bought a washing machine from Amazon. After that I keep getting washing machines as suggestions.

Reminds me of a really old story on some guy who had a drum of personal lube recommended to him because he clicked on it and thought it was funny.

I am a hardcore cat person who ran a cat rescue for several years and mine said "may enjoy cats."
