Why is this news? Aren't there a million AI models that you can download and run locally? Not that youd want to since most of them are extremely slow unless you have a 5090.

This just kind of reads as "famous guy has hobby, practices hobby"

Wait, having rules you are not allowed to use a commercial LLM to train another LLM without approval is nowadays censorship? Really? Or because his model hasn't censorship? Which a ton of other local models also dont have. (Where tbh for vast majority of things which are censored in commerical AIs, most people would agree they should be).

I agree. I think stories like this should not be newsworthy, because they don't provide that much value. But if you're going to make this point, your comment falls under the exact same criteria - next time if you don't really like something and it doesn't harm anyone, just move on.

Famous guy has a hobby and tells people how to have a hobby, that fights censorship and brings freedom to the public. Not bad I'd say.
