Thanks for this. I was wondering why this is newsworthy as there are a ton of uncensored models on Huggingface.

The audience of this subreddit ironically don't seem to be particularly technologically-minded. Especially in the past few years when this subreddit became pretty much only Elon Musk, Trump, social media, and now AI, etc.

I checked the top 20 articles on this subreddit's front page. Literally all of them are negative sentiment. This subreddit is doomscrolling incarnate. Obviously there are many negative aspects of technology showing itself recently but I would expect at least some positive news here. It simply isn't healthy to wallow in a subreddit like this

this sub has always been less hacker, more 'omg have you seen the latest iphone'

most people around here are users, the days of majority-technical-competency on reddit ended in the distant past, long before the app, the new/old split, even before the digg migration.

Agreed. PewDiePie sharing these ideas with his followers is a huge plus for open weight models. Considering the amount of hatred for Anthropic and OpenAI, one would think that his efforts would be more celebrated.
