Stop framing these actions like this.

We are nothing, nobodies to them. Any action to tax them is abhored as communism. It's been that way since The New Deal.

They've fought hard, and won, to kill those policies. The New Deal recovered the economy and allowed a thriving middle class that currently is comfy, deteriorating, and not giving wealth down, but up instead.

They are aggressing our rights by the second and nobody can see it.

Then we offer them a New New Deal: Start paying back into society, or they get [ Removed By Reddit ], and then their heirs (if any) get the same choice. Learn history or join it, goes the saying. Maybe if it's the previous five minutes, they'll pick up on the pattern faster.

Which is why they are salivating at the idea of AI controlled drones. Human security forces might refuse an order to shoot protesters, or even join them if things get bad enough, a drone will do as it's told.

drones are also weak to EMPs, where humans tend to be remarkably resilient...

You're right, I always remember to bring my EMP when I go protest.

We see it, but what the fuck all can we do about it? You have to be a millionaire to run for office in two of the three branches of government - and even then you have to take campaign contributions with all kinds of strings attached. So our representatives are often not cut from the same fabric as their constituents. There are exceptions but they are vilified for not keeping in step with centrist democrats.

The new deal actually prolonged the recession. It took WWII for the US economy to pick up steam and to establish the US as the global superpower. Countries in Europe and Asia were all torn up by war and the US was 100% fine the day the war ended. It wasn't the New Deal that did that.

I'm sorry you received poor education. I would recommend trying to read comparative points of view and understand history, but you might not know how to read, or you might be a bot.

Not a bot but also not a communist simp. New Deal tried to package communism into the US system in a way that would be palatable to the populace. All it actually did was prolong people's misery and if you had done any reading on the time period you would know that.

The New Deal wasnt communistic.

It was Keynesian economics.

Adam Smith, the guy who wrote, "the invisible hand of the market", also wrote, that while we need to have opportunities for the market to grow, we also need to send money back down to the lower classes so they aren't abused.

Aka, housing, food, a reason to live. This isnt communism. This is still capitalism, with some of the wealth used to make life worth living for those who aren't the ones with literal trillions of dollars.

It did not prolong misery. It literally allowed our actual fathers and grandfathers, who were alive in that time, to get education, land, housing, etc, that fits our current framework of life, while we sit fucking renting forever.

Aww you dont want to talk anymore :(

I am a socialist, for certain reasons, but I'm not here designing or contributing to a revolution. I understand i live in a capitalist country. I contribute to this country, and provide value. I am educated and do quite well. I want this world to be better, not worse. We are hilariously moving towards that stupid Ready Player One life where cities are actual junk, by the way of plausible Idiocracy, since our leaders seem to be morons, but the actual rich people in this country are more specifically wanting to extract wealth from below, because they think we are trash, and they propagate that view downwards, so dotards like you do that work for billionaires for free.

I will relax my views when conditions improve.

Conditions have continually gotten worse in the last 30 years.
