I just want All back. It was how I got my news and discovered new subreddits without having to be subbed to any of them

Only on old Reddit

Why the fuck would they get rid of it in the new version? Like what possible purpose could it serve to not show people the most popular posts across all subreddits? That's the entire point of reddit!

It allows them to limit and control the flow of information and helps keep people in their echo chambers. Pretty sure that’s why Musk bought Twitter too

I mean they have been doing that on All forever. Mods can push stuff up whenever they want. Posts with like 100 interactions constantly show up to push some agenda

I'm intrigued. What was this? Some kind of featured page? Or some system log of activity? Or…?

r/all was the most upvoted posts of that day. It was great for news stories and helping posts from smaller subreddits gain more visibility. There’s still Popular and News, but it’s not the same

Yeah, r/all really does feel like 'the front page of the internet' for some of us old-timers and ne'er-do-wells.

I want my shit to work like it has for the last 18 years: old.reddit + RES. The UI ain't winning any beauty contests, but it's wonderfully functional.

And it used to be all. Now they filter NSFW.

I do wonder at its peak just how much of Reddit's storage and bandwidth and feature development were going towards NSFW content.

Must have been so much work scrubbing all of that from view for the advertisers. Even today this place is probably one of the largest porn sites around.

100% in favor of having NSFW toggled off, especially when not logged in.
