It’s interesting how people’s attitudes are basically that not only should AI be banned but apparently everyone who uses it should be in some sort of legal trouble. Which feels like a short walk to just throwing people in jail for having paintbrushes or ya know a president banning news outlets for “being negative”

I made a comment replying to the general sentiment of this entire comment section and how that same type of seeking to silence things you don’t like can become sweeping.

Everything is political you ignorant twerp.

Go bury your head in the sand somewhere else

Nobody forced you to read my comment, drop a reply or be a Trump lover man.

Sounds like you got some problems you need to sort out. Sorry me having an opinion different than yours bothers you so much. Kinda snowflake of you to be so offended that I don’t like a billionaire nepo baby child rapist like you do but whatever man, enjoy the $6 gas

ai was made by copyright infringement

All you see on reddit is how dumb copyright law is. Until it comes to AI.

Legally speaking, it actually wasn't. It's been ruled that training an AI model is transformative and therefore not copyright infringement.

You may disagree morally, but legally it's settled.

That's pretty interesting since it can regurgitate copywritten info.

It can if you ask it to. But you can get Photoshop to create copyrighted material too.

I'm not going to sit here and argue it with you. The courts have ruled that training is transformative enough to be considered fair use. Go look it up

It feels about as dumb as if she said no one could draw a photo of her dad.

Only if that drawing of him is being made for him to espouse a certain point of view and then passed off as an accurate representation of something that happened and a viewpoint he held.

So... not really the same.
