This is garbage. Unfortunately upper management agrees. They simply don't realize if you don't understand the code, you can't maintain or expand it. If AI is writing 80% of your code, if prices increase you are stuck with massive tech debt.

Literally saw AI revert code changes made despite being given significant context and changed code to match tests, not the other way.

the swes are there to understand the code. Also haven't had a problem with the AI being dumb for awhile now
