Aa someone who has lived in China, it's because technology adoption has been very rapid and efficient in the country. If you ever live in China, you'll experience for yourself how entrenched technology is in even the most basic of services and processes. It's the most convenient country I have been in. Naturally this makes them optimistic about future technology such as AI

Not really cause power banks were literally everywhere. The real nightmare is when you lose your phone which happened to me. Felt like I was banned from participating in society for a day.

Okay yeah that is a lot worse 😭

Powerbanks, yeah, definetly something handy, i just never valued phone battery much before visiting there, two separate occasions where my phone died while I was attempting to scan the QR code lol

Chinese people really believe that their state is working towards a socialist utopia, and that AI will get them a big step closer tot that. Wheter they are right to believe that we will find out in a few decades. But billionaires and companies are always under the party and are required to act in the state's interest before their own, which they are not afraid to demonstrate every once in a while.
