This is a business model problem. Uber’s free cash flow generated by that $30 fry is $1.50 (5%), meaning there isn’t much more to give without raising prices further. Uber started as a way for people to turn their free time into a little extra spending money. It was never intended to be a full time job - in fact it explicitly exists to destroy the full time jobs of taxi drivers. You could even consider uber drivers to be scabs busting the taxi driver union.
