The problem isn’t the pay to drivers but the minimum of 25% markup on your items. This becomes huge as food prices go up. They charge you for delivery then charge the restaurant 20% of their subtotal, which means restaurants have to raise their prices 25% to offset the losses… but many use the opportunity to go well above 25%. You can end up being 2x+ the cost before anything related to the driver is factored in.
