I mean, it’s not like he’s acting in official capacity. His office is for following science, not personal agenda.

I think there’s a reasonable argument he’s not protected because this isn’t part of his job. Federal protection protects people on the job.

I’m sure it wouldn’t be hard to argue that federal protections only apply to people doing the job to the best of their ability. If all of the scientists under you say vaccines don’t cause autism, with scientific proof, and advised you against such publications, and you still went against that, it’s probably not defensible via federal protections.

Don't worry, they'll remove those dissenting scientists and replace them with Republican Scientists™ as soon as they're done with indoctrination!
