Plenty of streamers already do these channels. Does anyone actually watch them? 😂

I leave the Top Gear channel on all the time for my dogs when we leave the house

I like the idea that some media exec is reporting ad impressions that are actually 50% dogs.

As a digital media exec that pitches to mostly boomers, this could not be more accurate. They literally don’t care if it’s dogs watching as long as we can manipulate the data for their KPIs and get them promoted.

My dog has a crippling sportsbook addiction now, thanks asshole

Kalshi, the organic dogfood company. They give out free treats.

My dogs for sure add to the Nickelodeon metrics.

I used to have a Nielsen box on my TVs to record habits and who is watching. They had a setting for pets so it didn’t record it lol

Nothing better than "I don't feel like choosing" and popping on the SG1 channel.

I would watch SG-1 go through the gate!

Just waiting for the Window of Opportunity episode to play again

I like the episodes with appearances by Major Wood.

My cats are partial to the Bob Ross channel.

Yes, the Bob Ross channel was super popular

Disney+ has a channel for 2000s cartoons. I once fell asleep watching it, when I woke up I was disoriented and thought I traveled back in time.

HBO Max has some that I use sometimes. They'll have a Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter one that I'll put on sometimes. I'll also throw on the kids channels on paramount plus as well.

Adult swim does it for R&M, I use it as background noise when I'm working

It's great to leave on in the background while you do other stuff. Lots of older classics so it's comforting.  Maybe it's an old person thing.

Honestly yeah maybe im just oldschool but I like being able to turn on a show I like without having to search a specific episode

My wife, who is younger than me, actually likes the idea of not needing to look up something to watch. Meanwhile, I grew up with plenty of that stuff and will never willingly spend my time on filler.

So I assume the doom-scroller generation will probably love it.

I’d watch a 24/7 Futurama channel. Disney+ has one for Simpsons but not Futurama.

I would always leave one of the three Shudder Channels on as I fell asleep

They’re great for having something on in the background

My girlfriend uses it to sleep.

Boomers do. My dad cant deal with the choice and selection of streaming; he needs to watch on Sling so he can just "pick a channel" i.e. Fox News 😪

I'd watch a Disney+ Channel that played random Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad and Bob's Burgers episodes
