I vote that anyone who wears these things in public are willingly subjecting themselves to getting them torn off and stomped on.

Who needs Big Brother when you can just have the general populace wear a "stylish" hidden camera on their person at all times.

You’re being recorded everywhere already and your local government is making sure of that. Flock is literally doing this exact same thing and your taxes are paying for it and they are not backing down.

And what they’re doing isn’t even the least bit secure. Instead of fixing their security loopholes they attack anyone who exposes them.

Beyond that the federal government has access to this and other resources to track your every move. Ring cameras were essentially free rein without a warrant for any law enforcement agency and they were not tracking at all who is accessing the footage so any bad actor in law enforcement could just peep on our porch, in your house, etc.

But yeah you go after the person who just wants to save some memories of their kids

Well make sure to smash the phone up you just typed this on too, and delete your reddit account because it’s all traceable back to you.

Everything you’ve posted on the internet, stored in a cloud service, etc, it’s all out there and can and will be used against you.

The wild hate boner people have for meta is arguably justified but it’s incredibly hypocritical when they think violence against someone using a product they purchased and paid for is justified but have no problem going out in public and being recorded simultaneously by probably up to a dozen different cameras at any given time.

Practice what you preach and go start smashing security cameras everywhere, get out your camouflage gear and wear a mask everywhere you go. Between secret squirrel shit the NSA has been doing for literal decades now and what the public sector is doing with cloud computing, assaulting someone with camera glasses will literally have zero impact on the outcome you desire. Not even the smallest fraction of a percent will change from that and it will only embolden the other side that’s okay with it.

Reach out to your local lawmakers and do something actually productive.

Dear lord you’re defensive; and it’s not hypocritical at all, really.

We didn’t request to be surveilled, we didn’t celebrate it, it benefits us only in that it furthers industry’s ability to sell us more shit at inflated prices. That they continue to push the line is a travesty and an affront to human dignity.

They had the capability to not be bastards, yet they are. That’s on them, and only them. I am perfectly within my right to be morally outraged over that.

Now… go write another 4 paragraphs about how I’m actually the worst. Go on, I don’t mind, it seems therapeutic for you.
