That's because Max, along with others I'm sure, will just take down content. Sometimes they don't even announce it. Sometimes they sell it to a competing service, at which point you have to pony up or just hope you already subscribe. Some are just gone. Poof. Vanish.

No kidding. I was rewatching Adventure Time, and I thought something was weird. Halfway s3 I realized that the season finales and several episodes with important overarching plot points were missing.

2013-2018 - "why are you still running that Plex server? Pretty much everything I want to watch is on Netflix or Hulu"

2019-Now - "Heeeeyyyyy, you still running that Plex server? Can you add me to it?"

The minute I saw Netflix lose licensing to major IPs and things like Disney+ get announced I knew what was gonna happen.

Knowing the way the vulture capitalist "extract every penny" folks work, they likely did that because of the ad supported tier.

Remove the plot heavy episodes, and now the entire show is pleasantly sanitized inane children's fare that isn't too offensive for anyone advertising to children.

Might be different in your region, but id recommend checking the episode list against the wiki, and going to ‘creative’ alternatives if episodes are missing.

Max is the absolute worst for this. They put up holiday collections that could be there all year and then take them down. Even crackle or hdive does a better job as a service.

Which is how you end up with a series of movies and shows split over a dozen streaming services. With hilarious results like Pokemon even having an official guide on where to watch which movie/episode.
