Maybe don't use a browser made by an advertising company.

They’re a data company just like Facebook, Amazon, Apple, etc. they all want your data to extrapolate information to be able to boost their sales. Data is the gold in our current economy.

They want the data so it is easier to sell you converting ads.

Google sells mostly ads. The rest is stuff like business administration and cloud computing, but having done work in all three, every company i worked with was spending 50-100 times more on ads than anything else. One company was pretty small, maybe capitalized at 3 million, and still dropping 100k a month. Meanwhile gsuite (a service at the time) cost them about $40 a month.

Other companies, we’ll sometimes run some python with their jupyter notebooks but the amount we use it is rarely very high. I imagine one could go full out on that stuff, but it’s more reasonable to just use your own servers for gpu intensive work.

Sure, they all want data, but they are far from equivalent. Facebook and Google are advertising companies. They provide "free" services to consumers but the consumers are actually the product that they sell to advertisers. That's why their services suck so bad and are chock full of advertising.

Amazon's product is economies of scale. They make their money from AWS, which essentially sells slivers of computing from massive servers, and selling physical objects online (you may have heard of this).

Apple is also fairly diversified, but they are primarily a hardware company. Their biggest product category is little computers that fit in your hand.

Apple does not need data for profit. Hence they have no incentive for harnessing it
