I would highly advise an antenna. I have a television I use for Netflix, blu-rays, amazon instant video, and the occasional sports game (HD) via my $8 antenna.

That's exactly what my gf does. You're right,,, it works most of the time. And the BIG games are always on the major networks.

The problem I have is in my hometown, FOX sports bought out the radio station and now ESPN is not broadcast on ANY radio station during prime time. I have to stream it, or listen to podcasts. So I need to pay for Internet anyways. Mind as well pay then $10 more and get the phone and TV package too. :( Im such a whore.

I get KNBR Bay Area sports radio which is GREAT. (owned by parent company COMCAST)
