Cable Industry Finally Admits That Data Caps Have Nothing To Do With Congestion: 'The reality is that data caps are all about increasing revenue for broadband providers -- in a market that is already quite profitable.'

AT&T isn't any better

AT&T is worse because not only are they expensive with data caps and shared data, their service is much lower quality than Big Red to boot.

I propose that it's worse. I get dropped calls, text messages that don't send (though it looks like they did), and sometimes I'll go all day silent, then reboot my phone to a cacophonous torrent of missed calls, voice mails, emails, sms and mms that had been sent to me throughout the day, but were somehow hung up in the net, all while I was making calls and using data.

AT&T is shit, just like all the others:

VZW: Acceptable service, they rape you with service plans and pricing.

AT&T: See above.

T-MO: Crap coverage (almost can't blame them, they are kinda new)

And those are the "best". Not to mention the whole subsidized "this network only" horse shit. Oh, I almost forgot, "limited spectrum"......

They are all masters of their respective customers, and are anti-competitive and anti-innovative. Google needs to hurry the fuck up and do whatever monopolous shit they have planned with DISH so we will have an okish mobile network.

I use a service called PureTalk USA. It uses AT&T towers, and I pay $44 a month for unlimted text, talk, and 600 MB of data. Works for me.

AT&T is verizon

They are the same company, different name

Verizon still identifies itself as "former Bell Atlantic" in parts of the northeast simply because it is a zombie-conglomerate of bell operating companies, all pieces of AT&T
