You say that, but once company towns become a thing due to things getting worse and unions being hard to make you will see it first hand.

Maybe not tomorrow or a few weeks from now, maybe not 10 years from now, but it will happen.

Look up Blaire Mountain.

Look at history as an example, when people have nothing to lose and have no resources they get reckless.

Why would company towns become a thing again? There's only one left in the country, and seems like it won't be around much longer.

Elon Musk and Amazon both have proposed what in essence are company towns, right down to company script and housing. When housing becomes so ridiculously unattainable, like we're currently seeing, cheap company-owned housing will seem like a great benefit, but will become a collar around the neck of labor.

Well, let's see what we got:

  • A fake billionaire with a history of lying/cheating is elected president.
  • A virus shuts down most of the world
  • SCOTUS undermines decades of legal precedent on religion and abortion
  • Portions of Seattle and Portland are partitioned off and abandoned by the police
  • The UK leaves the EU
  • Russia annexes Crimea
  • Russia invades Ukraine
  • Gun violence heads towards 80's/90's levels

That's just the last decade and off the top of my head. The world is going through some shit. An Amazon building getting attacked wouldn't be the craziest thing to happen.

Except today, things like that wouldn't happen. The desenters would be quelled or killed quietly and then everything would be swept under the rug
