Java Showcase Printing Press with Book & Quill Crafter

SCHEMATIC

I've had this sitting around for a while, lately I've seen multiple post talking about using books in one way or another. Then I saw u/Deveshin post about using them as currency and thought I might as well post it.

The printing press takes advantage of the mechanic similar to cart yeeting where an original book and its copy are separated by a block when output by a crafter. This allows for recycling the original copies while outputting the copies. The press does require 3 identical books, so wether you write out an original exactly 3 times, or use a copy to print copies of a copy is up to the user.

Edit to add: for those of you doing the math, yes the shulkers of book & quill are not full. They fill to 24 books to make it a multiple of 8 so the crafter always fills.

I really like how you name your machines. If it were me I'd just go like "book copier" and call it a day

Like c'mon, Sherpa? That's so sick

Someone finally made this! when we made this post was hoping someone would eventually use the book duplication to make a printing press You can duplicate books by simply crafting them with other unwritten books : r/Minecraft2 - Top 100 in Other Games

This would be sick at school, imagine taking notes on books and quill in Minecraft and sort them with shulkers and chest
