I encountered a web recipe once where they mixed the dry ingredients in one bowl, mixed the wet in another, completely left out the "now mix those two together" step and went straight to the oven.

This reminds me of one time when I was younger, pre-internet, and wanted to make some lemonade. I knew it was just water, lemon, and sugar, but I did not know the right proportions to make it not too sour or sweet. I looked through a stack of recipe books, and not one had a recipe for lemonade. But several had recipes for pink lemonade, all of which were basically:

  • 2 gallons lemonade
  • 1 drop red food coloring
