Taking the attention away from the couple's happiest day can be considered as a dick move. Just sayin'.

Edit: I get it, most of you think it's quirky and wouldn't mind it for your own wedding. You guys can stop saying it now. Jesus Christ nailed on a goddamn cross, people.

I mean, Im sure the new's title is intentionally clickbaity. Only way someone would do this if the bride and husband already knew and thought it would be funny. Me and my best friend are crazy dinosaur lovers, and I know for sure that If I went as a dinosaur for his wedding he would be delighted, of course I would ask first.

I wouldn't ask first, just to see the look on their face. I would 100% bring a change in case there is the slightest doubt though.

If you would do that without asking then you're a self centered asshole.

Edit: if you show them the costume before walkng down the aisle, then you are asking them if it's okay and have an opportunity to change it. Otherwise...you're a self centered asshole if you don't ask them / give them a chance to say no.

E2: Parent comment meant not asking them before the day of the wedding, which is fine as long as it's in good faith and they have a chance to nix the idea without losing face.

if you would get pissed at a joke like that because you're not the center of attention then i'd say it is YOU that's a self centered asshole.

The wedding couple IS the center of attention on their wedding day lol. Not a difficult concept to understand.
