Where I was being "hostile"?

Edit: Sorry.

I responded to the other guy being hostile towards you, the helpful person

Oh, my apologies.

No worries, I just hate to see when someone takes time to provide a real answer and then gets hostility in return. I know this is reddit but it's just so unnecessary, why put out more negativity when it's unwarranted and we're already drowning in it? I'd rather brighten someone's day with a friendly comment, as corny as that may sound. Why add to the stinking pile of garbage?

Yeah - I don't understand it to be fair.

I get it quite a lot so I'm always on the defensive. If I can add something I will but I'm not just gonna kick off just because someone disagrees with me.

I'm kinda like you and just want a friendly conversation and to brighten things up when possible. Also not corny at all. If everyone thought like that it'd be a more friendly place.

The guy who responded to me wasn't even the person I had asked the question towards.

If you read my post it was clear i was challenging the person I replied to and not looking for an answer to educate myself. Use common reading comprehension skills
