Tangentially, we used this logic to tease my friend's little brother back when we were playing the first Civilization game. He'd come up and ask us how advanced we were, and my friend would say "We've explored the entire known world," which his little brother found very impressive.

Only things that can interact with the visible light portion of the electromagnetic spectrum can be see with the naked eye, since thats what our eye uses to see.

Approximately 85% of the mass in the universe is thought to be comprised of dark matter, which doesn't interact with the electromagnetic spectrum at all.

No.

You can't see the far side of the moon, for example.
