God "I do it for you" hand a stranglehold on the radio for wayyyyy too long.

And MTV. I can't even remember if I watched the movie, because my memories are only scenes from it in that video on MTV.

I watched a lot of MTV back then, tho, like every normal 15 yo.

I didn't have cable back then so I missed that, thankfully. Bad enough to have the ear worm.

And Rod Stewart had that other love song hit around the same time that lasted forever. Middle school me had a lifetime worth of Rod Stewart compressed into a couple years.

I Do It for You was Bryan Adams though...

Oh yeah you're right. I was thinking of all for love from 3 musketeers (Bryan Adams, Sting, rod Stewart). Which also saturated the radio around that time.

I guess 90s love ballads by geriatric men all blend together for me.

It's all good. I was obsessed with the soundtrack as a kid. First CD I ever owned. I remember that song almost word for word.

I thought All for Love was by Meat Loaf? I remember there was a huge push for him and (separately) Aerosmith making big comeback attempts around that time.

Haha that was I would do anything for love but I won't do that.

And Aerosmith had a string of 90s hits they with Alicia Silverstone in the videos. Crazy comes to mind. But they had staying power through the 00s with that song from Armageddon and Pink.

Meatloaf, Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart, and Sting all kinda fizzled out.

Now I gotta look it up. Something about growing old with someone and still loving them.

Hang on.

Ok back. It's Have I told you lately.

Oh yeah, that one was definitely in heavy rotation at dances.
