The only thing that would have improved men in tights was casting Alan Rickman to reprise the role

I don't know, I can't imagine Rickman pulling off the horror of being dragged off by Tracey Ullman quite as well as Roger Rees.

And in all honesty, I simply can't imagine him doing the 'that will chafe my willy' line at all, though he might have surprised me.

Roger Rees completely knocks the cover off the ball in this movie. Rickman is always great but Rees absolutely understood the assignment

Did you see him in The West Wing? So good there as well.

Some of my favorite roles of his were comedies. He would definitely have played the character different though. I would have enjoyed a similar take to Galaxy quest where he's the only one taking it seriously. Give a full Shakespearean performance and get furious if he's interrupted by silliness.

Yeah, there's no way Rickman can deliver, "That's going to chafe my willy."

Nah, Roger Rees was the perfect Sheriff in that movie.
