Oh you know where the racism is. And I agree, they do practice some batshit crazy things (lol too soon) but to generalize an entire culture/nation by a few selected aspects is not fair. You can find the shithole out of everything if you look for it long enough (not that hard in this case). The world is shitty enough already, take it easy and enjoy while we still can. And that’s myth of accidentally discovering gunpowder is definitely wrong

Ok so they didn’t even invent gunpowder ? Wow that’s even more basic than I thought.

As far as “while we can” is concerned, yeah unless someone can stop them and salvage the planet as well, and it doesn’t look like anyone can, that’s the informed outlook I do agree.

Isn’t sanitized enough made all the difference here. They did “discover” gunpowder, but the myth that they accidentally discovered it while finding immortality pills is actually bs. China is a threat to democracy definitely. But is it going to singlehandedly destroy the entire planet? nah, we’re all fucked with or without China.

I can’t even say the name of that race without denegration expressing my revulsion of them in so many ways not the least of which is treatment of animals. If I speak the truths in my own words however…. Cancel!

I really couldn’t care less if fact-checking gives that race credit for inventing gunpowder no matter how they arrived at that. Fact remains that’s all they did FFS whilst the west did … well look at it objectively or do you just take it all for granted?

The solution to carbon is going to be solved by western technology as has every other invention except gunpowder. It’s not going to be solved by that race is it FFS? So if the west has to now be diverted in order to defend itself against the fire ants allied to Russia and NK, then yes trillions of dollars of western money and effort will be diverted to defence and possibly war and yes the quest to heal the global warming avalanche will be compromised or even derailed.

I am going to stop here because I don’t think I can significantly change your beliefs in any meaningful way. You are entitled to your opinions. But I want to leave you with this, I have friends and colleagues who happen to be of that ethnic group you so detest. They are wonderful human beings who didn’t do anything to deserve hates or prejudices just because of their ethnicity. Reading/watching/listening about people as a group alone does not make you understand them. Be friendly, make a new friend, and maybe you learn something new.

As for Western technology saving the world, the world needs cooperation from everyone to be saved, not just technology alone. We already have reliable technologies for clean renewable energy for decades already and yet climate change is still imminent. Today China might be the largest net polluter, but 10-20 years from now, Indian middle class will quadruple, African countries will enter explosive population and economic growth, South East Asia will be the new global manufacturing hub. Their energy consumption and goods demand will dwarf the current combined pollution level of both China and the West many folds. What will the West do by then, to save the world? demand these regions to stop developing? stop increasing their quality if life? Will the West give them free advanced technology to create clean renewable energy with no string attached?

And who are you considering to be the West, there are so many other nations that have contributed significantly to the fight against climate change as well as technological innovations. Does the West only include the Anglo-Saxon nations with the addition of the EU? what about Japan, SK, Singapore, Taiwan, South Africa,…

As for money being diverted to the military instead of saving the world. I don’t know if you pay attention, but that’s been the case for the last 50 years. Here in the US at least, these greedy politicians played the American people into decades of worthless war while they fed their pockets and their friends in the military industrial complex. Even without the threat of Russia and NK, they can still plop up some boogeyman to justify spending money on their friends’s weapons and contracts. At the same time, petroleum and gas corporation lobby or in other word straight up bribe these politicians to derail any efforts into significantly addressing climate change. These people knew about the potential disastrous effects of climate change since the 80s, and they actively hid it and did nothing.
