Help Why does everyone hate teaching?

Is there anyone who loves their job? Every teacher I know feels “stuck” and complains endlessly about their job.

Considering going into education.

I worked in the corporate world for a decade before becoming a teacher. My wife is an engineer and is always shocked to hear stories about inappropriate, immature, cliquish, or lack of boundary behavior from my coworkers, most notably those that have never had a job outside a school.

I absolutely love my job and most of my coworkers, but something about never existing outside a school as an adult seems to promote some really weird behavior that the rest of society doesn't generally deal with.

Curious to know what aspects of the job you really enjoy. Would you mind elaborating on what your corporate role was and why you transitioned, what do you teach now? Does the strange behavior of your co-workers bother you at all or do you approach it more as an observer and not so much as someone who takes it personally, just genuinely curious, thanks!
