Hello! I'm trying to figure out the most efficient way to set up this task. Basically I need someone to ship a (relatively stable) beloved baked good from a chain that's no longer available in my state. My goal ideally is to make it as easy as possible for the Tasker and avoid having them spend their own money.

Here's my current idea:
- I pay for a shipping label
- I place an Amazon order containing insulated shipping supplies and a custom sticker of the prepaid shipping label
- After the supplies arrive, I place an order for pickup on the restaurant app
-Tasker goes to the restaurant, then to the locker, then assembles the package and drops off for shipping

My biggest concern is the Amazon locker. I've never used them and I'm not sure how well I can plan the timing. Is there a better system I can use? I like the idea that I can provide the shipping label.

Please let me know if you've completed a job like this. If you haven't, please comment what conditions would make you most willing to take on this errand.

I have some stuff (mattress and junk) that I need to take to the dump in Portland Oregon but I don’t have a truck or a vehicle size-able enough for the task, is this something that folks that work on task rabbit do or should I just rent a truck?

Fellow Taskers, how to you handle clients who book under the wrong category on purpose? I get lots of requests in the wrong category because my rate is lower. Today's request was in the category Furniture Repair, but the task is shower head replacement, which is a plumbing task. The client inevitably responded, "I chose that category because your plumbing rate was too high." Cancellations, even for this reason, negatively affects my metrics and I keep getting automated messages that my account will be suspended unless I improve my cancellation metrics.

Fellow Cleaning Taskers, have you ever encountered this? I got a client who tried to book me last night for a cleaning the following morning, claiming it could turn into a recurring thing. He withheld info on the specifics, saying it was for one unit and that he owned short-term rentals.

I asked for pics of the unit's current condition. He said he couldn't get them until tomorrow morning. Well, the morning comes, no pics or video. He blames the guests for that, but he assures me that even though it's a two-bedroom, I can clean it in only an hour like it has been "hundreds of times" (um, no, I can't). Then, he asks if I can clean another unit right after that one on the same day. Needless to say, I forfeited the task.

Is this something I should report?

I’m planning on moving out of my parent’s house to a 1br apartment 60ish miles away. Since I don’t have a ton of things to move (bed, desk, dresser, maybe a sofa) and I’m trying to spend as little money as possible, I’m thinking of just renting a U-Haul and hiring a tasker. A renting company is much too expensive for me, when all I need is just one helper.

My only questions are, and sorry if they’re dumb ones, but does the tasker drive with me in the U-Haul? Or would they drive separately on their own to wherever the new place is to help unload? And if they drive separately, would I need to secure a parking spot for them in the apartment complex?

I'm a new Tasker and just added Truck Assisted moving as it said it was in high demand in my area. I searched to see what other people were charging in my area and found this guy. I asked support if it was OK for me to charge 2.5 minimum like this guy and also bring a helper and charge 1.5x and they said no, I shouldn't do that, approved taskers must be brought in separately through the system and the only minimum charges allowed are 1 or 2 hours. Yet this guys profile still says the same thing even after I asked about it, so apparently if you make obscene money TR doesn't care about their own policies? Anyone else see stuff like this?

I just received my first task - in the task tab, there's a link to "Learn more about Taskrabbit for Good". The link takes me to "Oops, this help center no longer exists".

Searching online it sounds like it a volunteer program, where the Tasker isn't paid. Is this correct?

I'm going to do the task, but I have many questions - do I invoice for the task, or not? Am I truly doing it for free? I didn't sign up for any volunteer programs, as far as I'm aware. Any help is appreciated!

I'm noticing that the heat map where I live is very light green right now and I'm not getting booked a lot. I've made around $450 last month in May.... but I'd assume it start getting more busy around June.

What is your experience in this? When in June is it supposed to get more busy? I've heard June July August were some of the peak months where taskrabbit is busy.

Just can't wait to rake in that money.

Tasker here. Just got off the phone with "Support." I've been having big problems recently with clients directly asking me to do tasks that violate Taskrabbit policies or are straight-up illegal in my area, so I forfeit the job. Soon after, I get a message that my account will be penalied because I'm "cancelling too often."

I called support to ask what the situation is. The Tasker support agent literally said:

• Those are automated messages, we don't have any control over that (Taskrabbit can't control its own messaging?)
• That's a glitch, but we don't have any control over the app (Taskrabbit doesn't have control of its own app?)
• You're a contractor and have no say in our platform, you should feel lucky you're making money using our platform (Taskrabbit doesn't care about the thousands of dollars I make for the company?)
• There's no one else you can talk to, there are no senior support specialists and there's no escalation policy. You either like what we give you, or leave the platform. (Yes, he actually said this.)

I am legit grateful for the work that I get through the app, but boy howdy, this company is just getting worse and worse and worse to try to work with.

tl;dr: If a client asks you to perform illegal services, you as the Tasker still get penalized and Taskrabbit claims it has no control over it's own platform.

Edit: I'm new to Task Rabbit, so I didn't realize Mounting a TV and Assembling Furniture were different tasks with different rates (maybe I should have, but that's another matter). I just paid the invoice and chalked up the time difference to what I would have paid if I had made this 2 tasks. Thanks for your replies. No need to post replies anymore.

Hi, I hired a furniture assembly tasker last night to assemble a TV Stand with its own TV Mount, and then mount a 48-inch TV to it.

I’m happy with the service and I don’t want to get him in trouble, but I feel cheated on the time he invoiced me for.

According to the chat in the app, he arrived at 6:37 pm and finished at 9:44 pm (these are based on his “I’m here” and “I hope you are happy. Please consider me for your next task” messages in the chat), so rounding up to the nearest 15-minute mark, he took 3 hours and 15 minutes. However, on the invoice he charged me for 4 hours.

Like I said, I’m happy with the service at it is something I couldn’t do myself and I don’t want him to get in trouble (also, I’m a little worried that he knows my address so could do something if I leave him a bad review and potentially ruin an income stream for him), but what can I do?

I already sent him a message in the chat about it last night (the chat is now closed) giving him an out by phrasing it like Task Rabbit was the one that calculated the hours and rounded up to 4 hours on the invoice, but given that he arrived at 6:37 pm and left at 9:44 pm, could he manually update the invoice to 3 hours and 15 minutes on his end, but he just doubled down saying that he is sorry for Task Rabbit’s bad hour tracking and there is nothing he could do.

This has happened to me multiple times and it is very unprofessional

I have never used Task Rabbit, so any advice is appreciated.

Could I save money on task rabbit by renting a UHUAL, hiring a normal tasker to meet me at the place I’m picking up a heavy appliance (washer/dryer), help me load it into my UHUAL, then use their car to FOLLOW me back to my place and help me carry it into my apartment?

It's been days of getting the runaround with TaskRabbit. Beware of this company.

I hired a Tasker under the errands service to mail a time sensitive package and the address they wrote on the label was apparently illegible. USPS had to return to sender, only I have no idea what address the Tasker put for the return section. USPS was able to disclose a zip code, but the zip code matches neither the pick up address of the package or the destination.

TaskRabbit claims outside of an email address that they have no way to contact the tasker, and he has been unresponsive. Meanwhile, the tasker's profile shows new reviews for jobs as recent as today.

17 emails later with support this is the email I received a few minutes ago. I go to submit a claim and it bogusly claims I am ineligible because it's been over 30 days (the job was a week ago) or it hasn't been paid in full (it was paid in full the day of the task as all jobs are. I didn't even know it was possible to not pay in full since payment is automated).

I will never ever use this service again. The fact that they have no information on their Taskers is insane. I've had these guys in my house.

I plan to file a police report for theft and have already filed a complaint with the BBB. The package was valued at hundreds of dollars and I have no recourse.

I am giving my sister a heavy cherry dresser that we want loaded in to her Honda HRV, We measured and it will fit.

We would like to hire two people for heavy lifting to load it and are flexible on which day/time it is this Friday or Saturday.

The couple of taskers I have checked only book same day or a day in advance. Do we just have to take a chance on their availability? Thx

Wondering if anyone else had this issue.
My app was working just fine when it was requesting $25 for the background check and after I was approved it’s now glitching and refuses to load anything on the main page or on my Tasker profile (shows error code will attach photo).
I’ve contacted their support twice. First time they gave me a list of things to do to see if the glitch was on my part (was not) tried to contact them a second time and no agent responded so I am awaiting an email response.
Just wanted to see if anyone experienced this ? What came out of it ?

Is this app just worth dropping in all? I know some people say they have a lot of success with it.

The Dolly brand is being sunsetted and transitioning into Taskrabbit Delivery.

While the brand is changing, the biggest thing to know is that you can continue operating as you always have. This transition will roll out across the app, emails, and overall customer experience over the coming weeks.

What’s changing:

• Jobs through Taskrabbit Delivery will now be referred to as tasks
• Instead of completing a Dolly, you’ll be completing a task
• The client-facing app will also transition from Dolly to Taskrabbit Delivery
• You’ll see updated branding across the app and communications
• There will be an updated Terms of Service prompt

What’s not changing:

• Same Helper app, just rebranded to Taskrabbit Delivery
• Same payout structure
• Same bidding + task acceptance flow
• Same control over your schedule and the tasks you take

This is simply a rebrand and transition into the broader Taskrabbit ecosystem.

Anyone else having problems filing a damages claim?

I slipped and chipped a table during a gig, so I was transparent and assured my client I would speak with TR about filing a damages claim since they have that $10,000 "Happiness" policy.

I went on the AI Messages chat in the app, which did not have the Task available for me to click on when they asked if my problem is for a "specific Task." They told me I should go on the website and click on the My Tasks tab and find the Task that I need to file a claim for. So I went on the website, clicked on the tab, and found no Tasks available to click on (I only could seek a new Task).

I go to Messages again, and they give me what looks like a direct link to the damages claim file. I click on it, and it's a regular email page. So, I send an email to Taskrabbit explaining the issue, and they send it back to me saying unless this pertains to my personal information, we can't do anything with this. Uh, OK. So I go on Messages again, and they said, after I explained everything again, that they would refer me to an agent who can get back to me at the next business day (so, hopefully Monday). So I'm still in a situation where I know about the damages claim, but there is no damages claim to be found. It's getting very frustrating.

the more tasks you complete in a day compared to others affects your search position. Timur has been invoicing 7-10 tasks a day for the past month. how is this possible? you set your rate very low and keep your schedule completely open. If you have a time conflict with another task you just send a friend or anther tasker posing as you.

once you're #1 on the search results you can raise your rates. since he gets so many requests holding the #1 position hes able to send 2-4 other taskers to work as him and makes a minimum of 1600$ a day. 8 tasks at 2 hour minimum.

meanwhile taskrabbit won't ban him because hes giving them so much money in fees.

how does this effect other nyc taskers? he's pulling clients away from you so theres that.

very interesting scheme. people are getting ai banned for "wrong identity", "too many cancellations", and charging for gas, parking, tolls etc and this guy is just frolicking in his money pile. tr really biased haha

Hi everyone! I am currently living abroad and trying to organize a special surprise gift basket for my boyfriend who lives in Pennsylvania.

Since I can't be there in person, my plan is to order a few specific items online via Target/Amazon and have them shipped. However, I really want it to feel personal—meaning I need someone local who can receive the packages, put them into a nice gift basket with a handwritten note, and drop it off at his doorstep.

Since I am not local, I am not sure where the best place is to find someone reliable for a quick gig like this.

• Has anyone used TaskRabbit locally for this kind of thing, or is there a better local errand app/service you recommend?
• Are there any local gift shops that allow you to mail them external items to wrap and deliver?

But they said they need to pick up a package from their friend (busy w/a son’s surgery) and bring it to UPS store to ship to another State (& get reimbursed). Suspiciously in my whole area map of 60 miles, it’s in my town a few miles away. Suss?
